Shortly after moving into Grange Farm back in 1981 Ann (the founder) came across an old Bed and Breakfast sign under the stairs which gave her the idea to rent out her spare bedroom. Over 40 years on and here we are!
In the late 80’s, The Granary was converted from a barn and Yew Tree Cottage was bought from the neighbours. Both cottages were renovated, and ready for holiday rentals (along with a few caravans on the way!) Grange Farm was growing by the minute.
In 2005, the family joined together to form a partnership known as Graves Properties. This new development reinforced the strong family values and the ethos in which they have built the business on. One of the farms out buildings was later replaced by our ‘Courtyard Cottages’ and in 2010 the Lake View Cottages were built with outstanding views over both the fishing lakes and the play area.
The luxury cottages became popular as people began to increase holidaying in England rather than travel abroad. We were also fortunate to be a suitable accommodation provider to large contracting companies working nearby.
We were granted approval for 15 additional caravans and lodges in addition to the 3 log cabins approved previously.
Grange Farm Park was still slowly growing, keeping in line with current tourism demands.
Saw the arrival of Badger’s Den, a 5* Lissett Lodge which is available for holiday let.
Breeze Lodge arrived on site, and planning permission was granted to replace the old stable block with 6 new luxury guest bedrooms and a 60-seater restaurant. The extension allowed the B&B to move out of Ann’s house!
At the end of 2017 two caravans were sent into retirement, replacing them with two very popular lodges – Daisy and Poppy. (These are ideal for families looking for a perfect base to explore the East Coast.)
The Stables Bar & Restaurant was completed, along with the 6 luxury suites, three with private hot tubs and three dog friendly rooms with enclosed patio area.
We were granted permission to extend our kitchen in The Stables Bar and Restaurant and add in an outdoor bar, as well as our first Tipi, this enabled us to host more restaurant guests and larger events, a multitude of functions including wedding receptions and be able to offer more employment opportunities for locals. We also purchased our largest lodge to date with private hot tub and our first sauna, Otters Pocket – our flagship lodge.
We added 5 new glamorous glamping pods all with private hot tubs, these have recently gone viral over various social media platforms which has encouraged a younger crowd to explore the beautiful coast and countryside.
We added another lodge, Squirrels Drey and a couple more caravans, which now completes our accommodation profile. We love how tranquil and spacious Grange Farm Park is, we would never want to squeeze in properties. So from here on, we are enhancing the park and will be upgrading properties as we go instead!
We were accepted as a licensed wedding venue by Lincolnshire County Council; and extended our Tipi this will enable us to hold wedding ceremonies, larger events/functions as well as to host health days such as Yoga Retreats etc.
We’ve recently extended our restaurant patio, creating even more space to relax and enjoy the views. Our car park has now been fully resurfaced with new tarmac for a smoother arrival experience, and we’re excited to have installed a brand new children’s play area featuring a zip line for younger guests to enjoy.
Renovations are also ongoing at the original Grange Farmhouse, the building where it all began as a B&B. Key structural works including damp proofing, electrics and plumbing have now been completed, and we will continue restoring the farmhouse gradually as part of our long-term vision for Grange Farm Park.
